(Motto of the Baltimore Grotto)
FS Distribution Ltd is committed to employing best working practices and developing environmentally-friendly attitudes and strategies within our work wherever possible.
Packaging
We aim to use recyclable packaging materials wherever possible. These include:
- Cardboard Boxes
- Cardboard Tubes
- Paper Envelopes
- Polythene Despatch Packs
Furthermore, wherever possible we re-use boxes both within our warehouse and for onward transportation.
Recycling
• Paper Waste
We use a specialised recycling company for the regular environmentally-friendly disposal of recyclable card, magazine literature and any miscellaneous paper waste from our premises.
• Uniforms
Our work includes the extensive use of branded uniform and accessories. Any surplus items at the end of a campaign are donated – with the agreement of the client – to a charitable organisation that specialise in un-branding or re-branding clothing to be sent for use in developing/under-developed countries.
• IT Hardware
We outsource the secure and ethical disposal of our IT hardware and as such can provide this service to our clients if required.
Transport
Within our vehicle fleet we have two 18 tonne trucks and two sprinter vans that are compliant with ‘London Low Emission Zone’ regulations. In addition all of the vehicles in our fleet are regularly serviced and maintained.
Office
We do not operate a paperless office, however we actively encourage our staff to think before printing and all of our emails carry a message asking the recipient to ‘Do your bit for the environment- please only print me if necessary!”.
In addition, we operate a policy of restricted colour printing to minimise cartridge use and endeavour to recycle office paper waste.

Elements of our health and safety procedure include:
- The existence and regular review, including risk assessment, of a written health and safety policy
